The Flyin' Doc was inspired by The Royal Flying Doctor Service here in Australia that provides medical assistance to people living in the remote outback regions of the country. He is like a British World War 2 fighter pilot, pip, pip, cheerio, old bean, etc. Unfortunately, The Flyin' Doc is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, he's a little loosely wrapped, a sandwich short of a picnic! Everyone goes into hiding when he does his rounds in his bi-plane and his patients send him boxes of apples to keep him away!! | |
